Letter to Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating

Dear Governor Keating:
I am writing on behalf of Human Rights Watch, the largest U.S.-based international human rights organization,
to urge you to halt all executions in Oklahoma. Recent news reports that an Oklahoma City police laboratory
scientist may have offered misleading evidence and improper testimony in a number of criminal cases
underscore the injustice of implementing an irrevocable death sentence when the administration of justice is
inevitably fallible.
