Silicon Valley

Human Rights Watch is one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world. The Silicon Valley Committee is part of the Human Rights Watch Council, a global network of individuals and committees across 33 cities internationally. Council members are ambassadors for Human Rights Watch in their communities, providing us with a strong presence in key cities and countries.

Composed of nearly 900 leaders from a variety of backgrounds, the Council is an informed and engaged constituency that plays a key role in our global defense of human rights. The Silicon Valley Committee supports Human Rights Watch through advocacy efforts, community outreach, and fundraising initiatives. Together, we play a key role in the defense of human rights.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Human Rights Watch is strong because it is diverse. Our Silicon Valley community is committed to growing and sustaining our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work, and we encourage you to explore the below articles, videos, books, and films, submitted by Silicon Valley community members. Please reach out to us if you have any recommended additions to this list of resources. Increasing our DEI capabilities makes us better advocates for social justice, and we thank you for partnering with us to continue learning and growing together.
